Presenter Instructions

As you are certainly aware, the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the NOMS 2020 conference to go online in full, thus, there is no travel to Budapest, Hungry neither possible nor necessary - as such, there was the need to adjust the conference session formats in order to make them compatible with an online synchronous event. Naturally, Dissertation Digest sessions were not exempt from this. Thus, it was decided to run Webex Meetings as the videoconferencing tool for NOMS 2020, for which the download of the respective App is highly recommended ahead of the presentation time slot (cf. https://www.webex.com/downloads.html/).

During each of the Dissertation Digest sessions, assigned presenters will have a 22 minutes time slot to present their work and answer the questions of participants in 6 minutes thereafter, which will be moderated by a session chair.

For this please prepare slides as usual and the presentation to be given at that point in time. A video of the talk can be prepared instead to be played at the respective time, however, attendance is required at the respective time slot to be able to interact after that talk. Note that for such an on-line presentation you have to have access to a reasonably well dimensioned Internet access, such that the screen sharing from your machine and the outgoing audio are working at good to best quality. If possible the speaker's video could be added, too.

This video should be uploaded to a private Youtube channel, if prepared before, otherwise the talk will be recorded during the presentation and uploaded later.

Failure to comply with these instructions will have the same consequences as not presenting the paper - they will not be published in IEEE Xplore.

Do not hesitate to contact us in case of any questions you may have.

Kind Regards,
Alberto and Burkhard
