Session Chair Responsibilities
The Session chair, working with the Webinar Room Coordinator (Student Volunteer), is in charge of moderating the session. His/her responsibility is similar to a regular conference session:
- Login Time: 30 min before session time
- Assigns Authors/Speakers as Panelist
- Hits Record
- Will introduce the author and paper during designated presentation time slot
- Gives “presenter” privileges to each Author/Speaker when it is their time to begin their presentation
- If the Presenter is not able to present on-line, but has sent in a YouTube or other link of the presentation, an option is to:
- Go to "Share" Menu in Webex,
- Choose "Share Multimedia",
- Copy/paste the YouTube link, and hit on the Play button there.
- Reads the questions to the presenting author during the question-answer period
- Concludes the session (stops recording and returns host privileges to Webinar Room Coordinator) and checks attendance
- Session Chair does not give anyone else host privileges during session time; only presenter privileges
